ScanOUT is a low cost scanner software that serves as an alternative to bundled scanner programs and applications with limited functionality.

ScanOUT provides a quick and convenient way of directly scanning paper documents into your computer, as TIFF, Postscript or PDF files. It currently doesn't support OCR (optical character recognition).

Ouput to PDF - Scanned images can be stored as highly compressed PDF files with built-in pdf property information (author, title, etc) without the need for any version of Adobe Acrobat.

Multipage support - Scan several pages at once and save them all together into a single multipage TIFF or PDF file.

Session saving - Save currently working session for later reuse and divide your work throughout different periods of time by retrieving saved sessions.

Scan without the default interface - Has it's own acquiring interface allowing you to take advantage of personalized settings unavailable with your standard scanner window.
