dCipherMAIL implements a full featured Public Key Infrastructure solution without the associated overhead of individual key management. The system, built on the de-facto PGP architecture standard, eliminates the key management overhead associated with PGP based implementation. The key management features are automated using the Kaleidoscopic Protection Architecture.
The Kaleidoscopic Protection Architecture (KPA) is a multilayer email security platform which makes sure that intruding into the content of your messages is impossible. It derives its name from a somewhat primitive invention, the Kaleidoscope, invented in 1816 by Sir David Brewster, an optical imaging device which when rotated, displays a continuously changing optical pattern. The KPA architecture deployed in dCipherMAIL Standard, Plus and Power Suite works along similar lines using a hybrid of identity based encryption and public / private key infrastructure, but the whole architectural model is encapsulated in a zero touch web interface that shields the end user from the details of the underlying complexities deployed to safeguard the integrity of the email. The solution can be easily used in corporate environment with Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes as well as with third party web based email systems like Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo!
dCipherMAIL can be used to encrypt and secure corporate email between company employees as well as protect customer communications without changing either corporate or customer end mail setups. This ease of product introduction allows the company to transition to a secure mail infrastructure, without changing business processes and affecting the current investment in the email and messaging infrastructure
