Remoteus is a remote support software which enables helpdesk agent to give customer support when customer is physically at another location. With Remoteus the helpdesk can see the customer's computer screen. Both customer and helpdesk can use customer's computer and monitor each other's actions.
With Remoteus customer's computer can be taken under control regardless of the physical location. Customer and Helpdesk can have any connection type. IP addresses, network or firewall settings do not have to be configured beforehand, the application is ready on the fly. From the customer care point of view there are several benefits:
- New customers and users are immediately reached by the customer support.
- Customers enjoy uninterrupted service even when workstation or network settings have been changed.
Remoteus application consists of two separate programs: Helpdesk and Customer applications. Secure and highly protected connection is established between Helpdesk's and Customer's workstations. Connection is safe because all traffic is encrypted. Helpdesk's and Customer's network environment stay untouched.
Connection is specially secured because one of the three encryption keys is sent via telephone to the Helpdesk. To be able to harm the users of the Remoteus the cracker would have to listen to the internet and telephone connections at the same time!
Security is further enhanced by the possibility to close the connection at any time by the Helpdesk agent or the customer. After closing the connection only the customer is able to open new connection - an advantage that makes Remoteus much safer than competing products.
Remoteus uses standard and widely used encryption algorithms - RSA (512 bits), Blowfish (128 bits) and session password given by phone (Level of encryption can be chosen, typically 64 bits). Remoteus provides a level of encryption, which is sufficent and commonly accepted.
