GateKeeper is a proxy server firewall software package that allows an entire computer network to share a single Internet connection. The shared Internet connection can be anything from a dialup modem to a dedicated T1 circuit. GateKeeper is the perfect solution for anyone seeking to share Internet access with other machines in nearly any environment, from a small home office sharing a single modem to a large and complex network sharing an ISDN or leased line. GateKeeper even acts as firewall. The GateKeeper software consists of a server component, which is installed on the computer with the modem or other Internet connection, and a (optional) client component, which is installed on the other computers on the network.
