ChanStat is a client/server program developed for system administrator and network users who need to see main Internet channel statistics in real time. It can show selected channel information such as: channel input/output rate; channel summary transfer volume (from last clear command); average transfer CPS in this channel in current moment; traffic by IP addresses (IP accounting). To decrease CISCO router usage, the program may work as HTTP server. In this mode it gets router statistics and can distribute these data by browser request. The program was developed as client/server Win32 Internet/Intranet application. Server part of it regularly connects vial TELNET to the CISCO router and gets statistic information about selected channel. Client part regularly connects to the server to get the same information. After it, the program shows got information.
