Evolution 1.0
28.01.2011, 22:42
The Evolution Conversion Engine has been developed by engineers with many years of experience in MSAccess, VB and now VB.NET windows and web applications. The idea for the Evolution Conversion Engine came about while converting an Access database application containing almost 2000 forms and code modules to a VB.NET windows application. Obviously, this would require thousands of man hours to complete, and so, to make the process more practical, and cost effective, a conversion tool was developed that could speed up the process. The Evolution Conversion tool has proved invaluable in this scenario, cutting the conversion time down to 25% of previous manual conversions. The Evolution Access converter should greatly reduce the amount of time required to convert MS Access 2000 Forms and code modules into VB.NET equivalents. The Evolution Access Converter is best suited to conversion of unbound MS Access forms, although it will still work to reduce the visual conversion time of Bound forms. Continuous Forms are simulated through the use of VB.NET datagrids, and Data Sources are inserted into the VB.NET source files.
