200 Million Minutes Per Day Spent Playing Angry Birds
I bet that by now you are familiar with the fact that the Rovio Mobile-developed game Angry Birds is quite popular. An application that recorded over 50 million downloads across all platforms (Angry Birds is available for Mac OS X, Windows, Android, iOS, and other platforms) is definitely quite popular.
But have you ever wondered how much time Angry Birds players spend trying to destroy those egg-snatching pigs?An answer for that question has been provided by Peter Vesterbacka, Mighty Eagle at Rovio Mobile Ltd. According to Peter Vesterbacka, Angry Birds players spend roughly 200 million minutes playing the game, flinging angry birds at the pigs.

He said this in an interview for Techtree, interview that you can view on YouTube here (I’ve linked directly to 1:40 when Vesterbacka mentions the 200 million minutes).
200 million minutes is a lot of time. According to computational knowledge engine Wolfram Alpha, 200 million minutes are the equivalent of 3.8 centuries, or to be more precise, the equivalent or 380 years, 6 months, 6 days, 9 hours, and 20 minutes. So Angry Birds players spend the equivalent of 380 years playing Angry Birds and that’s on a daily basis.
In related news, at the start of the month, Finish software developer Rovio Mobile announced that Angry Birds 1.5.1 for iPhone ($0.99 in the App Store), Angry Birds HD for iPad 1.5.1($4.99 in the App Store) and Angry Birds for Android 1.5.1 (free in the Android Market) have been rolled out to the public. Version 1.5.1 comes with 5 new levels that continue the Ham 'Em High episode (which is now 30 levels strong).
In further related news, earlier this month Rovio Mobile announced the released of Angry Birds Seasons version 1.2, a Valentines Day update that features a very romantic theme and 15 new levels.
