Facebook and McAfee Strike Deal, Users Get Free Security Software
It seems that popular social networking site Facebook cares about convenience as well as security. To address the security needs of the hundreds of millions of Facebook users, Facebook has struck a deal with MacAfee, company that specializes in providing security software solutions for home and business users.
The Facebook user will get quite a lot out of this deal. To get things started, Facebook users will get McAfee's Internet Security Suite software free of charge. When the 6 month freebie is over, Facebook users will be able to get a discount subscription – they’ll have to pay for the software, but at least not full price. And to top things off, Facebook users will also get custom security software and education materials on their favorite social networking site – this is to say McAfee will publish security content of Facebook’s security page.
