Back in May the Mozilla Foundation announced that it is working on a Firefox Sync-based application for the Apple-developed iPhone. As Mozilla explained at the time, the iPhone app (called Firefox Home because it is “your home on the Web”) would allow iPhone users to access their Firefox browsing history, bookmarks and the set of tabs from their most recent browsing session.
After Mozilla announced the Firefox Home app, it made the next logical step: it submitted it to the App Store. The app was submitted to the App Store on June 30th. And as soon as Mozilla did this, the waiting game began – waiting on Apple to approve the application.

It took Apple 15 days, but it finally approved the Firefox Home app. The app is now available for download straight from the App Store here. As a little side note, it took Apple 20 days to approve Opera Mini for iPhone.
"Firefox Home, a free application, is now available for download on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Firefox Home provides access to your Firefox desktop history, bookmarks and open tabs on your iPhone. Get up and go and have exactly what you are looking for on the Web on your iPhone or iPod Touch," announced Stuart Parmenter, Mobile Team Technical Lead, Mozilla Corporation.
Before you rush off to get the application, here is a brief explanation of how it works: - If you don’t have Firefox Sync, you need to get the add-on and install it on your desktop. After you do so you will be asked to set up an account (it is a simple process that I’m sure will go along smoothly). - Get the Firefox Home app and launch it on your iPhone or iPod touch. You’ll be prompted to enter your Firefox Sync account info. Enter your username, password and Secret Phrase and tap “Done.”
