Google Introduces Recipe View, Makes it Very Easy to Find Recipes
Some people may say that they couldn’t live without access to the internet. They could live without internet, but it wouldn’t be much of a living. What you really couldn’t live without is food. We all need to eat, and we all like to eat tasty food. If you don’t know what to eat, what you could prepare with the ingredients you have around the house, you could turn to Google for help. Google has just recently announced the release of Recipe View.

“We’re happy to introduce Recipe View, a new way of finding recipes when searching on Google. Recipe View enables you to filter your regular web search results to show only recipes and to restrict results based on ingredients, cook time, or calorie preferences,” announced Toshiaki Fujiki, Google Search team.

Know how you can filter your Google search results from the left hand panel? If you want to search for images, click Images on the left hand panel, when you want to see news, click News. There’s now a new option entitled Recipes. Click it and you will filter your search results based on recipes. When you click Recipes, your search results will include only recipes.

You can further refine your search based on ingredients; check an ingredient and your search results will be update in real-time. You can also filter your search based on how much time you have on your hands. Click the “Less than X minutes” link and you will be presented with recipes that take less than X minutes to cook. If you’re watching your calorie intake, you can also filter your search based on calories – just click the “Less than X cal” link.

If you have some carrots around the house and don’t know what to do with them, search for “carrots”, then click “Recipes”, and you will be presented with a few interesting recipes for carrots. If you want to prepare something special for a special occasion, like Cinco de Mayo for example, search for “Cinco de Mayo”, click “Recipes”, and you will be presented with some interesting recipes.

To get a better idea of what I just said up there, check out the video below; in the video Google Chef Scott Giambastiani demonstrates how to use Recipe View.
