Google Phone Gallery: A Showcase of Android-powered Phones
Google has already given us a great operating system for mobile phones – I am of course talking about the Android OS. The Mountain View-based search engine giant has recently given us something else: a great way to help us find Android-powered phones. Google has recently released the Google Phone Gallery , a site that showcases the best Android-powered phones you can get today.

“Here at Google, we’re thrilled with the global adoption of Android and with the high quality of devices that are coming to market around the world,” commented Product Manager with Android, Ben Serridge. “Since there are so many great phones, we wanted to make the selection process a little easier for people who are in the market for a new one. Today we’re rolling out the Google Phone Gallery -- a showcase of Android-powered devices that deliver the best Google experience today.”

As Ben Serridge explained, the phones presented on the Google Phone Gallery feature the Android Market, Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, and other Google Mobile services.

If you can’t make up your mind, the Google Phone Gallery lets you compare phones side by side. This way you can see how the two phones size up in a head-to-head challenge. To help you more easily find a phone that suits you, you can filter the phones displayed in the gallery. You can filter them by country, manufacturer, and carrier.

“We’ll continue adding phones and countries over time, both to round out the gallery and as new phones come to market,” added Serridge.

This has been a great week for Android users. Why, you ask? Simply because a few great Android apps have been rolled out. Skype rolled out Skype for Android (there are still a few drawbacks, but hey, it’s Skype for Android), Wolfram Alpha rolled out Wolfram Alpha for Android (giving you access to the powerful Wolfram Alpha computational knowledge engine) and Yahoo! rolled out the Yahoo! Finance for Android app. Almost forgot – fring added fringOut to its Android app.
