The other day we were reporting that YouTube has added 5 new languages to the list of languages it supports – and that YouTube has changed its looks. The video player looks different, the search results page looks different, and the upload interface looks different.
It’s not only YouTube that refreshed its looks. Mountain View-based search engine giant Google, who owns the popular video sharing site, has refreshed its looks too. The new interface is being rolled out gradually across 37 languages. You may have already seen the new interface. If you haven’t check out the image at the bottom.

In the new, redesigned user interface, you can see a side panel in the left-hand side of the screen. From said side panel you can filter your search results and categorize results. The left side panel is powered by Universal Search, the Search Options panel and Google Squared. Universal Search brings the most relevant search results to you. The Search Options panel, which was released last year in spring, helps you filter your search. Last but not least, Google Squared helps you find “entities” that are related to your search, allowing you to explore related topics.

Google has updated the looks of its mobile search engine as well. But it only works of you access google.com on your iPhone or Android-powered device in the US.
