Halloween Special: Eerie Autumn Windows 7 Theme
All Hallows Eve is approaching, so you need to get ready. You need to get the decorations out of storage and make your house look like it was pulled out of a horror movie. You must get a properly spooky costume so you will be a hit at the Halloween party I am sure you’re attending. And you must get enough candy for the trick-or-treaters who will be knocking on your door in two days time.

With all this on your head, I wanted to remind you about the spooky Windows 7 theme pack Redmond-based software giant Microsoft rolled out last week. I am of course talking about the Eerie Autumn Windows 7 theme (preview here, direct download link here).

Regular FindMySoft news readers will notice that I’ve already covered this theme pack a few days back. The simple truth of the matter is that I absolutely love this theme. I like this theme so much that I thought it a good idea to remind you all about it.

I like that this theme puts together 15 spooky but great looking desktop backgrounds. You will see a spooky looking jack lantern, a full moon, some bats, a gargoyle, a creepy forest scenery and more. I particularly like that the spooky images are accompanied by spooky sounds. You will hear them when you log into Windows, when you log out, when you connect an USB device, when you unplug an USB device, and even when a search in Office or OpenOffice.org turns up nothing.

If you would like to get other theme packs for Windows 7, visit the Personalization Gallery here. Besides Windows 7 themes, the site also features desktop backgrounds, desktop gadgets and SideShow gadgets.

“[The Personalization Gallery is] filled with themes and many other things, including desktop backgrounds, gadgets, and tips on how to set personalization settings that you can use to spiff up your Windows desktop. It’s available in 36 languages and 58 markets. As of late October there are almost 115 themes and about 80 wallpapers on the gallery, and I’m adding new ones all the time,” explained Microsoft’s Jennifer Shepherd.
