Highly Addictive Game Angry Birds Lands on WebOS Devices
Do you have a webOS 1.4.5-powered Palm Pre or Pre Plus device and want to spend your free time in a fun amusing way? If you answered “Yes” to that question, I have some amazing news for you – the highly addictive, incredibly amusing Angry Birds game is now available on the App Catalog.

If you are not familiar with the game let me tell you a few things about it. Angry Birds is a puzzle video game created by Helsinki-based software developer Rovio. In the game some nasty, evil pig stole the birds’ eggs; so the flock of birds sets out to retrieve the eggs. Since the pigs are hiding out in structures made from various materials, the birds have to damage the structure and then take out the pigs.

What you basically do is launch birds at various structures, and try to directly or indirectly take out the pigs. Directly by hitting a pig, or indirectly by damaging the structure which falls down on a pig.

“You asked for it, and Rovio worked quickly to get it to you. “Angry Birds” is available now for Palm Pre and Pre Plus running webOS 1.4.5, with additional availability coming for others who want to help the birds seek sweet revenge against the green pigs. Rovio moved fast, but I’m betting a lot of webOS users will be moving even faster to download it. See for yourself what makes “Angry Birds” one of the best-selling apps in more than 60 countries,” announced Paul Araquistain, Palm PR.

“After hearing the demand from Palm fans worldwide for Angry Birds, Rovio decided to introduce the most popular mobile game on the planet for Palm. From today, Palm Pre owners have access to endlessly entertaining bird mayhem in the App Catalog. Rovio is pleased to provide Palm fans with an opportunity for hours of pig popping action with Angry Birds – a growing phenomenon that shows no signs of slowing down,” said Rovio on their blog.
