Kaspersky Password Manager 5.0 Released
Kaspersky Lab, company that offers award-winning antivirus and mobile security software for home and corporate users, was glad to announce the launch of a new version of Kaspersky Password Manager. Version 5.0, the new version in question, is now available for download in English, French, German and Russian. A Kaspersky Password Manager license for 1 PC will set you back some $25 while a license for 5PC will set you back $49.

In case you are not familiar with the functionality Kaspersky Password Manager has to offer, here’s a brief and to the point explanation: this is a Windows utility that ensures the secure creation, use and storage of passwords and other confidential data.

"The login / password combination remains the most popular authorization method to date. At the same time, all kinds of online financial services are actively developing. If a user were to lose their login credentials for these services, it may result in very serious consequences. Therefore users need convenient, secure password management systems that save them from having to remember multiple logins to different services or manually entering their credentials," said Dmitry Ustyuzhanin, Product Marketing Director for Kaspersky Lab. "Our Kaspersky Password Manager successfully meets this challenge, and more importantly, its new version provides our users with a still higher level of protection, convenience and flexibility."

To my mind, there are two main reasons why you should get Kaspersky Password Manager. The following two reasons:

Secure Storage of Data
All the data you want to be kept confidential, like passwords, PIN codes, program keys, and so on, are stored in an encrypted database. The encrypted database is protected by a strong password; it’s strong because Kaspersky Password Manager helps you create it. Access to the database is provided when you provide the correct password.

Alternatively, you can access the encrypted database by using your mobile phone or another USB or Bluetooth device. When your mobile phone is connected to the computer, you are granted access to the encrypted database; when the phone is not connected, access is blocked.

Ease of use
Kaspersky Password Manager allows you to access websites and applications with a simple mouse click – a single mouse click. The application remembers your login info and automatically provides you with that information when you visit a website; to make this easier it can import passwords stored by Firefox and Internet Explorer. The application also remembers your login info for applications that require authentification.

Kaspersky Password Manager fills in lengthy forms for you automatically.
