New in Yahoo! Mail Beta: Themes, Calendar, Notepad, More
The development team behind Yahoo! Mail Beta, the new version that is faster, cleaner and safer than previous Yahoo! Mail versions, has announced that several user-requested features have been added to the email service. One of these features was the possibility to change the way Yahoo! Mail Beta looks. Why you ask? For the simple reason that not everybody likes purple; and until now, purple was your only choice.
If you don’t like the color purple, you don’t have to put up with it anymore. That’s because there are now several themes to choose from.

“We heard you loud and clear: you miss our colorful, fun themes! Our team buckled down in December to build and release a gallery of themes for you to choose from. Go to the Help drop-down menu at the top left of the page, select Themes and check out our gallery,” explained Senior Product Manager with Yahoo! Mail, Stephanie Shum.
Numerous users have also been asking for a link to Calendar and a link to Notepad. The Yahoo! Mail team listened to user feedback and added “easily accessible links to both Calendar and Notepad in the Applications section on the bottom left corner” as Shum explained.
Want to upload multiple files at once and thus save some time? This option is now available as well. You can upload multiple attachments at once in Yahoo! Mail Beta by holding down CTRL, Shift or Command key and select all the files you want to attach.
There’s a new Updates tab in Yahoo! Mail Beta that, well, puts together all the Yahoo!, Facebook and Twitter updates.
“We are continuing to update and improve the Yahoo! Mail Beta, so please keep using it and giving us feedback!’ added Shum.
