Redmond-based software giant Microsoft has just pushed a brand new theme to the Windows Personalization Gallery, the online domain where you can find Windows 7 themes, desktop backgrounds, desktop gadgets and SideShow gadgets. The new theme I am talking about is called Harvest Time; it is a collection of images that focus on the beauty of autumn and the beauty of harvest.
“I have a new theme to beautify and brighten your season – Harvest Time! For those of us in the United States, this theme comes just in time for Thanksgiving, but I designed it to celebrate harvests everywhere. Harvest Time has images from across the world and features many different crops, including olives, grapes, rice, wheat, corn, apples, and more,” explained Jennifer Shepherd, site manager for the Windows Personalization Gallery.

The interesting thing about this theme is that you can see where the 18 images that make up the theme were shot and who shot them. Here is what you have to do: - Right click an empty space on the desktop -> from the menu that appears select “Personalize” - Click the Harvest Time theme -> now click “Desktop background” (it’s down at the bottom). - When you hover the mouse cursor over an image, a tooltip will show up. The tooltip presents summary information about the image. The last line in the summary usually contains details on where the picture was taken. To gain access to even more info, right click an image -> select “Properties” from the menu that appears -> then select “Details” from the window that appears.
“I’m sorry to say that not every theme has information that you can find this way, but most do,” added Jennifer Shepherd. “It’s something I try to include as often as possible when I’m producing themes (or working with partners to produce themes) because I like to know more about the photos, so I figure other people probably want to know, too.”
