Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10 Graduate Out of Beta
Just a few days ago we were reporting on the release of Opera Mini 5 Beta for Android and Opera Mini 5 Beta for Windows Mobile. You can now forget about these Beta releases because Opera Software, the company behind the mobile browser, has rolled out a final, stable version of Opera Mini 5.
Opera Mini 5 comes with all bits and pieces we saw in the Beta version; all the bits and pieces you can expect to get from an Opera Software-developed application. There’s a sleek user interface, tabbed browsing, bookmarks, Speed Dial, password manager, and a feature that compresses data traffic by up to 90%, allowing webpages to load a lot faster (similar to Opera Turbo in Opera Mobile 10, which compresses page up to 80%).

The last time we reported on an Opera Mobile 10 release was back in February, when Opera Mobile 10 Beta 3 for Symbian and Windows Mobile was released. You can forget about this Beta version as well since Opera Mobile 10 Final is now available for download. The main difference between Opera Mobile 10 and Opera Mini is the fact that in the first case the browser engine is installed directly on the phone and that it uses more CPU. The other important difference is that Opera Mobile 10 works just like the desktop version, meaning it will correctly render any webpage – Opera Mini 5 on the other hand may have some problems in this area. The final and most important difference is that you can install Opera Mini on pretty much any device – Opera Mobile can be installed only on Windows Mobile and Symbian/S60 phones.
