Privately Share Video Greeting Cards via YouTube this Christmas
A few days ago I drew your attention to a free piece of software called Movavi VideoMessage, a Windows utility that allows you to come up with good looking video greeting cards that you can send to your friends or loved ones this Christmas. Creating a video greeting card with Movavi Video Message is a fairly simple process. All you have to do is go through three simple steps; the following three easy steps:

Step 1 – select a video you would like to use or record one directly from your webcam. You can preview video footage within the application, which should make it easier to select the footage you want to use.

Step 2 – select a theme from the 26 or so themes the application has to offer (11 professional and 15 holidays themes). There’s a theme for all sorts of occasions, from holidays to birthdays to road trips. If you want to, you can add a personal text message.

Step 3 – send the postcard you came up with to your friends and loved ones by email; share the postcard on your personal blog or website.

What do you do after you have a good looking Christmas card? You can send it to your friends, family and loved ones via email. Or you can share it via popular video sharing site YouTube, by using the 'Unliste' sharing option. After you upload a video to YouTube, you can mark it as unlisted – this means people browsing YouTube will not stumble across it as it will not appear in any of YouTube's public pages, in search results, on your personal channel or on the browse page.

Only the people who have the link can access the video (even if they do not have a YouTube account). This means you can send the link to your video to your friends via email or via an instant messaging application and tell them to check it out.

The 'Unlisted' option is not new, it was rolled out back in May. I, and the YouTube team, thought it a good idea to remind you about it.
