Rovio Mobile Uses Angry Birds to Promote Microsoft's Bing
Rovio Mobile, the Finnish computer game developer behind the immensely popular game Angry Birds, has announced that it released an exclusive miniseries on YouTube in which it promotes Microsoft’s Bing search engine. The miniseries will have four episodes – two of the four episodes are now live on YouTube.

“Rovio has today launched a four video miniseries of animated videos that put a new twist on the never-ending rivalry between the birds and the pigs, featuring for the first time, product integration with Bing, the decision engine from Microsoft. The first two installments of the series are available now, and in the videos we can see the hungry pigs getting creative and scheming how to get the treasured eggs,” said Rovio Mobile.

In episode 1 of the miniseries (which you can check out on YouTube here) three green pigs are standing on the beach while the Birds are tending to the eggs. The pigs are hungry (you can tell because a pig’s stomach is rumbling) so they ask Bing "How to get eggs?". Bing tells them to dig underneath the birds to get to the eggs.

In episode 2 (check it out on YouTube here) the three egg-snatching pigs take Bing’s suggestion and start digging. To ensure they will not end up in the wrong place, they use Bing Maps. Unfortunately for the birds, Bing Maps guides the pigs to their destination, which would be the eggs. The pigs then steal the eggs and run off.

Rovio Mobile explained that the other two episodes will be uploaded to its YouTube channel soon.

The miniseries isn’t the only way Rovio is promoting Bing. Rovio Mobile explains: “For a limited period, Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons feature integrated, contextual Bing searches to help players find solutions for tricky levels, and discover the elusive Golden Eggs. Bing helps players make more informed decisions by providing the best search experience for topics that match the problem at hand.

Earlier today Rovio Mobile made the news when it announced that it will definitely update Angry Birds Seasons in honor of St Patrick’s Day.
