According to statistics released by StatCounter, the free website analytics company, Firefox’s market share in December 2010 was of 38.11% while Internet Explorer’s market share was slightly lower, it was of 37.52%. That officially makes Firefox the most popular, the most used browser in Europe. Internet Explorer continues to be the top dog in the US. IE’s market share in North America is of 48.92%, well above Firefox (26.7%).
