A grand total of 160 games were submitted to Mozilla by developers who wanted to take part in the Game On 2010 competition, an international competition open to developers from all over the world who want to create complex and not so complex games with Open Web technologies. Out of all these games only 124 were selected and showcased on the Game On Gallery. And out of those 124, only 35 were selected by the jury to be Game On Finalists. And out of those 35 finalists, only 7 got an award (there were 8 awards, but one game won two of them).

“The Mozilla Labs Game On open Web game development competition is Game Over- for now! The votes are in, the winners are chosen, and we’re fresh out of quarters. Thanks to all who entered, the voters, and our judges!” said Julie Shin Choi, who manages the Game On 2010 competition for Mozilla Labs.
The winners of the Game On 2010 competition were supposed to be announced on the 31st of January. Julie Choi said that “due to the awesome response from our wider community” the voting period for the Community Choice Award had to be extended until the 1st of February. Because the voting period was extended, the date when Mozilla would announce the winner of the Game On competition had to be pushed to the 3rd of February.
