Trillian 4.2 for Windows Beta with Rickrolling Protection
Rickrolling is a bait and switch tactic commonly used online. The rickroller posts a link that claims to be relevant to the subject – but the link takes the unsuspecting user that clicks on it to a webpage where he can view Rick Astley perform “Never Gonna Give You Up.” The user could pick up on the Rickrolling attempt, but the person that posts the links usually masks of obfuscates it (like this).
Cerulean Studios, the company behind multiprotocol instant messaging app Trillian, has recently released Trillian 4.2 for Windows for public Beta testing. This Beta version comes with Rickrolling protection – among other things.
