We kicked off Tux Tuesday with the news that Linux Mint 9 “Isadora” Fluxbox has been released as a final, stable version. Linux Mint 9 Fluxbox is available in 32-bit as a liveCD here.
We continued with the news that uTorrent has released an early Alpha version of uTorrent Server for Linux has been rolled out. The full-featured uTorrent for Linux client is coming soon, explained BitTorrent (BitTorrent acquired uTorrent back in 2006). We continue our Tux Tuesday coverage with this interesting piece of news: Ubuntu 10.10 Beta has recently been released to the public. The final, stable version of Ubuntu 10.10 codename Maverick Meerkat is expected to drop next month. Until then you can download and test the Beta version. You can download Ubuntu 10.10 Beta here. Here are the main Ubuntu 10.10 Beta highlights: - Very fast boot time. - The option to update Ubuntu during the installation. - You are presented with the option to download an MP3 decoder during the setup process. - Polished new background, default icons, and other visual. - View album artwork in a new audio menu.
