The development team behind popular micro-blogging and social networking site Twitter has been working with the development team behind the Google Android operating system. Out of this hard work the first official Twitter application for the Android operating system came out.

With the Twitter for Android application the user can tweet and read tweets. According to Rechis, the emphasis has been put on letting the user easily share data. The user can easily share what’s on his mind, can share photos, can share videos, can share web pages, can share his current location, and more. To share any link or photo for example, the user needs only look for the share button and select Twitter.
“Reading the news, watching a YouTube video, and taking photos at events like the World Cup are things we expect to do on mobile phones – sharing our experiences on these little screens should be just as easy and fast as on big ones. When apps work well with each other, sharing becomes as second nature on machines as it does in person. The Android platform is really good at that, and we’ve worked with the Android team to make it super easy to share what’s happening,” added Rechis.
